Clare House is set in six acres and is comprised of ten/twelve ensuite bedrooms which accompany The Crown Hotel’s accommodation. Situated on the edge of the village of Ickburgh, it is approximately ¾ mile from the main hotel. If you would like to dine with us at The Crown or just enjoy a drink, we will happily taxi you to and from as you require, free of charge, so you don’t have the worry of driving.

The accommodation is extremely versatile; all bedrooms being available on an individual basis when being used in conjunction with the main hotel, or alternatively, the whole house can be reserved as a self catering holiday house.

Clare House is such an extensive space that it can easily accommodate up to thirty guests, with bedrooms of all shapes and sizes and two kitchens it is an ideal place to hold a large family gathering or a meeting of friends. The house is set back from the road, behind protective foliage, which gives guests complete privacy.

It is an ideal base to explore both Norfolk and Suffolk, with the North Norfolk coastline and the beautiful cities of Norwich and Cambridge all within easy reach. The house’s location is perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities, especially cycling, walking and fishing, which is ideal with Thetford Forest Walks, Cycling Routes and Fishing Lakes just a minute away.
